The owners/directors Colin and Anne Lowe started this business from scratch in their garage and have grown it into the prosperous business it is today with 14 staff and 3 agents nationwide. They had a vision to offer more than sewing supplies to the market, they knew that service was the key to business success. Trendy Trims grew from small beginnings to earn a reputation for quality products and is now a leading wholesaler in New Zealand.
As suppliers and distributors to both retailers and manufacturing businesses, Trendy Trims has grown its portfolio to include well-known and respected international brands such as Gutermann, KnitPro and Pony to provide a wider appeal to the sewing & knitting market.
In March 2013 Trendy Trims expanded their offering with the acquisition of Abbey Buttons. Abbey Buttons are an established New Zealand manufacturer and supplier of dyed buttons for the sewing and craft market. This acquisition provides an increased button offering with better colour matching expertise.
