Trendy Trims is a family business that has stood the test of time, 40 years on our story is one of continuing growth and development. As the market has changed so has our product focus but our commitment to customers and service has remained a key driver to our success.
This story begins in 1977, the owners/directors Colin and Anne Lowe started this business from scratch in their garage and have grown it into the prosperous business it is today with 14 staff and 3 agents nationwide. They had a vision to offer more than sewing and craft supplies to the market, they knew that service was the key to business success. Trendy Trims grew from small beginnings to earn a reputation for quality products and excellent service and is now a leading wholesaler in New Zealand.
With a strong family management team, Colin and Anne are now joined by their daughters Rachael and Melissa and their husbands Brad and Daniel respectively who have been instrumental in the growth and development of Trendy Trims. Along with dedicated long serving staff and agents Trendy Trims is well positioned for the future. The first premises for Trendy Trims was in Broadway, Newmarket, this small office complex provided an excellent central base for business. Forty years on we are recognising the past by launching a new Italian Yarn range aptly branded “Broadway Yarns”. This new yarn range features a soft merino baby yarn and a double knit allowing Trendy Trims to continue to develop their knitting portfolio. Broadway Yarns complements our other brands, Debbie Bliss, DY choice, KnitPro and Pony to provide a wider appeal to the knitting market.
Our committed family business shows no signs of slowing down, with opportunities abound, Trendy Trims is in a strong position to continue this growth with new and established brands well into the future.
